FEM Remote Work Conference

Remote work is a very important topic since many companies have had to rearrange the way they work. They have shifted to online resources and apps to help their employees work from home. But everyone is still figuring out everything about this new form of working, the benefits, the downsides, the best tools and resources, and more.

Some companies are unsure if they should keep working like this or not. Maybe you’re also learning how to handle remote jobs and companies. If that’s the case, whether you’re a boss or an employee, you’ll benefit from attending the NYC FEM Remote Work Conference Meeting.

Forum for Expatriate Management

Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) is a platform full of content for the Global Mobility community and Human Resources experts. Its mission is to “Distill best practice across regions, industries, and functions while providing valuable networking opportunities for knowledge sharing and program support”. They achieve that through the content on their website and through the events held throughout the year.

At these events, professionals in the mobility industry discuss topics and ideas to help each other grow stronger. The topics that the FEM covers are wide and very important, from logistics to immigration and taxation.

Some of the events that they organize are Summits across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia Pacific region, and America. They also organize regional conferences and Chapter Meetings across the world.

Experts, consultants, and providers from the Global Mobility industry attend FEM’s conferences and meetings. They discuss, share and network with each other. It’s a great opportunity to learn something new, stay up to date with the business, and create connections.

They also have Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs) in which they celebrate and recognize corporate programs and supplier services.

You can easily become a member of FEM. They have an annual membership, which provides many benefits. You’ll be able to publish some content each month in the Forum for Expatriate Management account, read and watch exclusive content, get discounts for events and for the EMMAs, and more. This can be an individual membership or an in-house corporate membership.

Fluency Corp Language Classes are a Useful Tool for Remote Working

A great tool to help your HR & Global Mobility employees is to provide them with language classes.  If they know another language, they’ll help your company grow and reach international markets as well as provide them with additional benefits.

Even if your employees work remotely, knowing a second or third language is a great advantage. A lot of international meetings with potential business partners or clients happen through video platforms. Often there is no need to travel to the other side of the world.

Nonetheless, you’ll need the understand and speak the language in order to communicate properly with the other person. Something can get lost in translation. And if you’re not the one that knows the language, one of your most trustworthy employees can do it.

Fluency Corp is dedicated to providing useful corporate language training classes for global company teams. Classes are customized to the job, needs, and goals. Bosses and employees can start talking fluently in their target language in global meetings and be understood by their foreign business partners.

Oh, and if your employees work remotely, don’t worry. We offer both on-site and online language training!
