Bay Area Mobility Management
The Bay Area Mobility Management (BAMM) is an organization that provides educational resources for the mobility and relocation industry. They arrange events for people to learn and share ideas about this business. Its mission is to, “Use education, networking, and community outreach to support the development of HR Global Mobility Professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area.”
They support their local community by providing scholarships for high schoolers who have been relocated into the San Francisco Bay Area (grades 9 through 12). The requirements for students to win the scholarship are a written essay about the difficulties of being relocated, good academic performance, and extra-curricular achievements.
Another way BAMM gives back to the community is by donating money to multiple organizations that help people like StandUp for Kids. This is an organization dedicated to helping homeless youth by providing them with housing support, mentoring, and other resources. BAMM also helps support Upwardly Global, an organization that helps immigrants and refugees find work in order to become a part of the U.S. workforce.
On top of the events that they organize throughout the year, they have an annual conference in February about mobility. They have different committees with people that make sure everything comes into place – a social media committee, a philanthropy committee, a sponsorship committee, and more.
You can become a member of BAMM, they have two different types of memberships. The first one is the Corporate Membership, composed of people that need relocation services. The second one is the Service Partner Membership, composed of providers of relocation services.
