About PARC
Philadelphia Area Relocation Council (PARC) is a forum for relocation and mobility professionals, where they can share anything related to the industry and do some networking. They also want to come up with solutions to “[…] serve the needs of relocating employees”.
They have a clear mission, which is “[…] to engage membership, exchange information and inspire innovation to foster success in global mobility”.
They’ve been doing this since May of 1983, when they were founded. Though at that time they were called Delaware Valley Relocation Council. But their goal was the same, to help improve relocation professionals and the industry itself.
To help them achieve their goals, they have members who come from corporations and are service providers too.
You can be a member too! They have the Commercial Membership that costs $300. There’s also the Corporate Membership that’s free. Both lasts 1 year and you can renew!
No matter which one you choose, you have benefits like one access to the Membership Appreciation Event, one access to the PARC Annual Spring Conference and the chance to get CRP and GMS when you attend an event.
If you want to, you can also be a sponsor. They have different annual sponsorship packages and they all include many benefits. The Liberty Annual Sponsorship costs $2500. PARC is getting ready for their “PARC Spring Summit 2024” and so should you. This event is all about learning about GenAI and the effect that it has on the Global Mobility industry.
But that’s not all. “[…] the recently announced National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) Broker compensation settlement will be discussed…” There will be updates on this and a “[…] panel of experts will present the possible implications of this lawsuit on Global Mobility”. See? It’s important information you have to be aware of.
There’s already a full agenda prepared so everything goes well. From 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM there’s a corporate roundtable. Since it’s still early, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM there’ll be a coffee break in case you need some caffeine.
The opening remarks will begin at 11:00 AM and will last until 11:30 a.m. After that, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM the session 1 will begin: “GenAI Overview and Panel Presentation led by Deloitte”. Here comes lunch time, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
Then, from 1:30PM to 2:30 PM it’s time for session 2: “Part 1: Workshop on AI”. Let us tell you this will be an interactive session where you’ll get to explore the “[…] foundational capabilities…” of GenAI. It’s always cool to learn through interactive meetings, right? After this there’ll be another break, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
After that, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, there’ll be an “Industry Update: NAR’s Broker Compensation Settlement”. Here, you’ll get to learn “[…] what it means for Mobility from the perspective of various industry stakeholders”.
From 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM will take place the closing remarks. And finally, to end on a good note, there will be a cocktail reception from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. This is a great way to finish an amazing day of business and learning. You’ll get to network and analyze the information you just heard in a more relaxed environment.
