Human Resources and Relocation Event: BAAM Spring Meeting

We live in a world where everything goes by very fast. That means everyone is in a rush and everything is in constant change, especially the Global Mobility and Human Resources world. That is because all the technology and ways of working and communicating evolves with the world. As we’ve all clearly seen the last few years.

So, if you’re a HR or mobility worker, your knowledge and skills need to be ahead of the game. To achieve that, you need to take courses, discuss with fellow co-workers, and attend conferences.

We recommend you check out the next BAMM Spring Meeting. It’s an event where you’ll keep yourself up to date with the industry, and will learn how to improve your skills.

About BAMM

The Bay Area Mobility Management (BAMM) an organization that promotes and encourages education, leadership and networking for Mobility professionals.

They were born in 2012, after two Human Resources organizations mixed together to become better and stronger. So, they have a great expertise to offer you the best education and services.

They host different meetings and events throughout the year to help Mobility and HR experts keep on learning. Each meeting has a different topic to target as many issues and aspects of the industry as possible.

They’re not only committed to the workers and bosses of the industry, but also to their community. That’s why they’re offering $1500 scholarships for two high school seniors that have been relocated to Northern California.

To apply for the scholarship, you have to fulfill an application. In it, you’ll have to write about your academic performance and your extra-curricular activities. Applicants must also write an essay about how relocating has impacted them, and the skills and experiences they got from it.

The winners will be chosen based on which applications were the best. So, students must really put a lot of attention to detail and do their best. The award will be given to the college or university that the students plan to attend.

Another way BAMM gives back to their community is through their charities’ support. Every year, they support a couple of charities that help “improve the lives of individuals from all walks of life”. The 2020-2023 beneficiaries have been StandUp for Kids and Upwardly Global.

StandUp for Kids’ goal is to end youth homelessness in local communities. Upwardly Global is an organization that aims to help immigrants integrate into the U.S. workforce by getting them jobs that match their skills.

If you really like BAMM and what they do, you can become a member. There are different memberships, so you can choose the best one for you. There’s the Corporate Membership for those who are the receivers of relocation services. Some benefits of this membership are free registration for all the events and access to content just for members.

There’s also the Supplier Membership for those who provide services related to relocation. Some benefits of this membership are discounts for events and the opportunity to “expand your professional network”. The membership lasts 1 year and you can renew.

Or if you prefer, you can be a sponsor. There are also different packages for this. There’s the 2023 BAMM Sponsorship / Community Supporter Packages.

Then, there’s the 2023 Annual Conference Sponsorship Add-on Opportunities. And the 2023 Sponsorship Add-on Opportunities.

And for each, they have a Keystone Community Supporter and a Mission Community Supporter, each of whom have different benefits. You can choose the one that suits you, your budget and ideas the best.

Learn a New Language and Keep Yourself Ahead of the Game

Attend this and many other conferences to learn about the new trends in the HR and Mobility industry. But, besides that, you could also attend some language classes to upgrade your resume and add some new skills.

In this industry you have to deal with many different people, especially expatriates and foreigners. So, knowing a second or even third language will be very helpful for you.

You’ll be able to take international meetings and take your company to new markets. You’ll also keep yourself ahead of the new business trends that pop up in different cultures and countries. But even better, you’ll make your expatriate employees feel more at home and cared for.

We know that you can’t learn every language, but maybe choose a global one that many people can understand. Or the one that you feel that you, your employees and company need the most to succeed at your job.

Here at Fluency Corp we have classes for any language you can want. The best is that our lessons don’t have to be just for you, but for your employees as well.

Because we know how busy you and your teamwork are, we have online or onsite classes. And there are different schedules to choose from depending on your agenda. What’s better than that? Maybe just having native teachers… Which we do have! They’ll make sure you learn actual useful stuff and the content is customized to the job.
