There, you’ll get to know experts of the industry that work in all kinds of job positions. You’ll also get to know other newcomers like you. This could be the event you’re looking for, as it’s the perfect environment to network, create business contacts and make friends. All while having fun, so you won’t feel awkward, bored or stressed.

If you’re not a newcomer, don’t worry, it’s also a great event for you. Networking is for everyone.

About BAMM

Bay Area Mobility Management (BAMM) is an organization that helps mobility professionals and the mobility community get educated and have networking opportunities. To do that, they host different events throughout the year, where attendees can learn from experts and make contacts.

They also support some charities as part of their philanthropy mission and giving back to their community goals. The charities they’ve helped for the last three years are StandUp for Kids and Upwardly Global. The first one helps young homeless be in a safer environment by providing them with housing support, drop-in centers, and more tools.

The second one helps immigrants and refugees get a job, so they integrate well into the U.S. workforce and contribute to the country. By supporting these great organizations, BAMM shows its true colors and how much they care.

If you wish, you can be a member. If you are one of those who needs a relocation service, we mean a “receiver of services”, then apply for the Corporate Membership. Some of your benefits will be free registration for all of the events and to “access to corporate only benchmarking & roundtable”.

If, on the contrary, you’re a relocation “services provider”, choose the Supplier Membership. Some of your benefits will be discounts for events and “access to presentations and members only content”. Memberships last one year, starting from January 1st until December 31st, and they can be renewed.

About SCRC

Southern California Relocation Council (SCRC) is an organization where you can “Connect.Grow.Lead”, as they state it themselves. Through those three pillars, they want you to have a safe and comfortable education and “professional development”.

To meet the connect goal, they host different events where you can network with fellow professionals and learn from them too. To achieve growth, they teach all the important topics and most recent updates about the industry; they also give CRP credits for a recertification.

To meet the lead goals, they support some charities as a way of helping the community and even encourage members to propose a charity.

SCRC has their own Mentorship Program. It was founded in 2019 and it continues to this day, because they believe it helps “connect more early career mobility professionals with industry veterans”.

The idea of the program is for you to have a “personal and professional development”. Mentees will also be able to learn from their mentors, which are highly experienced and knowledgeable people.

Mentors will be able to share all they know and improve their leadership skills. Goals of the mentorship have to be discussed, so there are no confusions with what you need and want.

And you must meet each other at least twice a year. Honestly, this sounds like the perfect opportunity to learn more and grow in the relocation business.

As if that weren’t enough, they also offer scholarships for high school seniors who have been relocated to Southern California. Of course, there are certain requirements students must meet to be able to participate for the scholarship price.

Of course, they have to be seniors attending a Southern California high school and must be in a good academic position. Students must also have to have been “previously relocated and changed schools”.

And they must “have a cumulative minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0”. Extracurricular activities are also considered. Plus, they’ll have to write an essay about a specific topic. You can check the requirements details on their scholarship program page.

If you like SCRC, become a member! They have two different scholarships to choose from depending on your working profile. If you’re a “receiver of services”, apply for the Corporate Membership. If you’re a relocation “provider of services”, apply for the Supplier Membership.

Both have different benefits, but also some that they share, like the opportunity of expanding your professional network.

That’s why they’ve decided to join forces to create an event all about “building connections within the next generation of global mobility professionals”.

There’ll be three goals for this event. To educate on mobility matters, especially newbies, to give you all the tools and skills to succeed in your career. To encourage networking, so you can make valuable business connections and maybe even friends.

To achieve this, there’ll be “opportunities to work and play together”. And to get mentorship from different experts with different amounts of experience.

There’s already a well-planned agenda, so you can have a pleasant experience. Registration will take place from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The welcome announcements will start at 5:30 pm and will last half an hour, so until 6:00 pm.

From 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm there will be an interactive networking activity. Finally, to end in a good mood, happy hour will begin at 7:00 pm and will last until 8:00 pm.

Their mission is “to inspire forward-looking team members and new joiners in the industry”. But even if you’re already an expert and a veteran in the industry, you can still take something from this event.

After all, we never stop learning and growing. You might make new, important contacts or get updated about the Global Mobility world. Don’t miss out on the opportunity!

You can register now. It costs $25 for BAMM non-members and for SCRC Service Partner non-members.
